2010/2011 Brumation schedule;
I am going to try something different this year as I am to scared to stop feeding and turn out out lights altogether as I have done in years past due to most of my Ornates are fresh imports that I just got this year. My white Ornates are captive breed but I would not be able to replace them if I lost them during brumation, so I am going to put all my adults through a lighter brumation.
This is basically Elizabeth Lynch method that she explained to me in a email last year. Her Uro's have always successfully cycled and bred with this method so I am going to give it a try.
November 6th 2010; Vacuumed all seeds, sand and extra food in the enclosures of those to going to brumate this year. Stop feeding all dry foods, seeds, peas, lentils, beans, etc. I will feed greens for the entire brumation, but no dry foods.
